This page shows the premium days, insurance years and age that a full old-age pension needs in Türkiye, by the first insurance date: for 4/a (employees, SSK), 4/b (the self-employed, Bağ-Kur) and 4/c (civil servants). The conditions come from law and stay until a law changes them; the retirement calculator reads this table.
How to read the table
- First insurance: the range of the first day you were insured, in any status. The ranges differ for women and men; the table shows men first, then women.
- 4/a premium days and 4/a insurance years: the days an employee needs and the years that must pass since the first insurance. With a first insurance from 9 September 1999 to 30 April 2008, 4/a can also retire with 25 insurance years and fewer days.
- 4/a age and 4/b and 4/c age: “none (EYT)” is the age that Law 7438 removed for applications after 3 March 2023. With a first insurance from 2008, the age range is the age that rises with the day the premium days are complete: the lowest to the end of 2035, the highest from 2048.
- 4/b and 4/c premium days: the days the self-employed and civil servants need; for civil service, the years of service × 360.
With days in more than one status, the column of the status with more days in the last 7 years (in the whole career for a first insurance from 1 October 2008) applies. The partial pension is not in the table; the guide explains it.
Periods
The three groups are three periods of law: before 8 September 1999, when Law 4447 took effect; up to 30 April 2008, before the new conditions of Law 5510; and later. The 4/a ranges before 1999 came into Law 506 provisional art. 81 with Law 4759 and follow the insurance years on 23 May 2002. The oldest first insurance dates keep the old rule.
