Social security earnings ceiling (monthly), January 2005 – 2026
This page shows the lower and upper limit of the earnings subject to social security premiums in Türkiye since 2005: the monthly and daily floor, the monthly and daily ceiling and the multiplier that ties them. The limits in force are at the top; every period is in the table and the monthly ceiling is in the chart.
How to read the table
- Floor: the lowest earnings on which premiums are calculated, equal to the daily gross minimum wage and thirty times it. Premiums are paid on this amount even when a lower wage is declared.
- Ceiling: the highest earnings on which premiums are calculated. The part of a wage above the ceiling carries no premium, so on high wages the employee and employer shares are fixed at this amount.
- Ceiling multiplier: how many times the floor article 82 of Law no. 5510 sets the ceiling at. The multiplier started at 6.5 in 2005 and rose to 7.5 and then 9 with later amendments; the table shows each period’s own value.
Periods
The limits change with the minimum wage: once a year since 2016, usually twice a year before. A premium is the premium rate applied to the earnings between the floor and the ceiling; the rates by year are on the social security premium rates page.
