Laboratories have come very close to it, but it cannot be reached exactly. The temperature converter rejects any value below absolute zero with an error.
Where it appears in the formulas
0 K = −273.15 °C = −459.67 °F. These values follow from t(°C) = T(K) − 273.15 and t(°F) = 1.8 × t(°C) + 32 (BIPM SI Brochure; NIST SP 811). For example, the temperature converter rejects −500 °F because it is below absolute zero.
