Türkiye Credit Card Minimum Payment Calculator
Rules and data: TürkiyeBy Hesaplayıcı
The Türkiye credit card minimum payment calculator finds the lowest amount you must pay on your statement. Enter your card limit, your statement balance and the card's monthly interest rate. The calculator applies the 20% or 40% share set by the limit, then shows the balance left after the minimum and its interest with KKDF and BSMV.
Worked example: A 40,000 TRY limit, a 20,000 TRY statement, 3.25% a month
Minimum payment
4,000 TRY
- Minimum share
- 20.00%
- Balance left after the minimum
- 16,000 TRY
- One month of interest on it
- 520 TRY
- KKDF
- 78 TRY
- BSMV
- 78 TRY
- One month of interest with taxes
- 676 TRY
Step by step
Minimum share
minimum share = 20% (limit ≤ 50,000 TRY) or 40% (limit > 50,000 TRY)
minimum share = 20% (limit 40,000 ≤ 50,000) = 20.00%
Minimum payment
minimum payment = statement balance × minimum share
minimum payment = 20,000 × 20% = 4,000
Balance left after the minimum
remaining balance = statement balance − minimum payment
remaining balance = 20,000 − 4,000 = 16,000
One month of interest on it
contractual interest = remaining balance × monthly contractual rate
contractual interest = 16,000 × 3.25% = 520
KKDF
KKDF = contractual interest × KKDF rate
KKDF = 520 × 15% = 78
BSMV
BSMV = contractual interest × BSMV rate
BSMV = 520 × 15% = 78
One month of interest with taxes
interest with taxes = contractual interest + KKDF + BSMV
interest with taxes = 520 + 78 + 78 = 676
How to use

- The KKDF rate and BSMV rate fields start at 15%; change them if your statement shows other rates.
- Press Calculate.
Formula
Minimum share = 20% (limit 50,000 TRY or less) or 40% (limit above 50,000 TRY)Minimum payment = statement balance × minimum shareBalance left = statement balance − minimum paymentOne month of interest = balance left × monthly contractual rateKKDF = one month of interest × KKDF rate,BSMV = one month of interest × BSMV rateInterest with taxes = one month of interest + KKDF + BSMV
The statement balance is the total on your card statement. The card limit is the limit the bank gives the card. The monthly contractual rate applies to the balance left when you pay the minimum or more.
Worked example
The worked example on this page shows a card with a 40,000 TRY limit and a 20,000 TRY statement balance. The limit is below 50,000 TRY, so the share is 20%. The monthly contractual rate is 3.25%, the central bank’s maximum for statement balances under 30,000 TRY. The steps give the share, the minimum payment, the balance left, the interest, the KKDF, the BSMV and the interest with taxes.
Limits
A bank may set a higher minimum; the calculator uses the share set by BDDK. Over-limit amounts and special shares a bank may apply to new cards in their first year are left out. The interest is a one-month estimate; banks charge interest day by day from the transaction dates. Late interest and cash advance interest are not calculated. The KKDF and BSMV rates are what banks charge in 2026 (15% and 15%); enter the rates on your statement. The rules are the BDDK and central bank decisions in force on 15 September 2026.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the minimum payment on a Turkish credit card?
The minimum is 20% of the statement balance for a card limit of 50,000 TRY or less and 40% for a limit above 50,000 TRY (BDDK Board Decision 10970, 26 September 2024).
Does the limit or the balance set the share?
The card limit sets the share; the amount is a share of the statement balance. A card with a 40,000 TRY limit has a 20% share, so you pay a fifth of the statement balance.
Do I pay interest if I pay the minimum?
Yes. If you pay the minimum or more, contractual interest runs on the rest. If you pay less than the minimum, late interest applies to the unpaid part.
Are KKDF and BSMV charged on credit card interest?
Yes. Banks add 15% KKDF and 15% BSMV to the contractual interest, so 520 TRY of interest reaches the statement as 676 TRY. The calculator shows both; the rates are inputs.
What is the maximum credit card interest rate in Türkiye?
The central bank's maximum monthly contractual rates since 1 January 2026 are 3.25% for a statement balance under 30,000 TRY, 3.75% for 30,000–180,000 TRY and 4.25% above 180,000 TRY.
Calculation rules
- The minimum payment is a share of the statement balance set by the card limit: 20% for a limit of 50,000 TRY or less, 40% above (BDDK Board Decision 10970, 26 September 2024; Regulation on Bank Cards and Credit Cards art. 22/7). A bank may set a higher minimum.
- Over-limit amounts are not added to the minimum. Special shares a bank may apply to new cards in their first year are left out.
- The interest is one month of contractual interest on the remaining balance: remaining balance × monthly rate. Banks charge interest day by day from the transaction dates, so the result is an estimate. If you pay less than the minimum, late interest applies to the unpaid part; the calculator does not compute it.
- TCMB maximum monthly contractual rates since 1 January 2026: 3.25% for a statement balance under 30,000 TRY, 3.75% for 30,000–180,000 TRY, 4.25% above 180,000 TRY.
- Banks add KKDF and BSMV to the contractual interest; in 2026 both are 15% (bank statement glossaries: VakıfBank, Halkbank Paraf). The rates are inputs: enter what your statement shows. Interest with taxes = interest + interest × KKDF + interest × BSMV.
- Amounts are rounded to the kuruş, half up.
