A business day is a working day that is not a weekend day or a public holiday. In Türkiye it usually means Monday to Friday; Saturday and Sunday do not count. Turkish public holidays are listed in Law No. 2429 on National Holidays and General Holidays. A week has 7 calendar days but usually 5 business days.
Where it appears in the formulas
business days = days − Saturdays and Sundays − public holidays. The date difference calculator counts only the Mondays to Fridays in the range. The Türkiye working days calculator also removes the public and religious holidays; holiday eves and 28 October are off from 1 pm, so they count as half a day.
Not the same everywhere
